About Me
+++ The beta version of Driver License verification doesn't work with my PCs. No tickets of any kind in at least last five years. I'm insured. Both Oregon & CA laws require insurance company to extend protection to rideshare situation.

I have not had an accident in over 20 years; however, there are inherent risks in operating a motor vehicle and traveling on highways. By accepting my ride and aware of the risks, you agree to waive any claims against me personally for any accident that may occur. Any claims you might have is limited to my insurance coverage.
So, if my ride meets with your need, please reply. Rest assured, my answers will be simple and direct.
Early morning on the day of departure, I’ll notify you of the exact meeting place, departure time, and my phone number. Please call me to confirm immediately. If you have asked to be picked up outside the specified spot/route, I’ll let you know whether I can comply. Not likely, unless you have special needs, like handicapped, or are carrying bulky luggage, or are a foreign visitor lost in the city or the woods. Or a PCT hiker needing a break. I’ll go a long way, if you have. For pick up outside Portland, as there is limited or non-existent public transit, I’m more accommodative.
This is all about people helping people, sharing limited resources; making driving and riding a simple pleasure instead of a chore.
I’m very down to earth; all are welcome. I try to keep the car reasonably clean; but it has a lot of miles. Yes, Pandora, I-Heart, local radio when available, blue-tooth, Nexus 7 for navigation and audio-books.
The journey is the destination!

I had a great ride with Frank and two other passengers driving from Eugene to Portland. We were able to communicate easily through ridejoy, emailing, and the phone. What a guy. Frank picked me up on time in albany and plopped me down safely in medford. He is a very nice humble man with a lot of knowledge and a very interesting back ground.
