RideJoy, Inc. (“RideJoy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates an online marketplace that connects equestrians with horse-friendly accommodations, layovers, and experiences (the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you access or use our website, mobile application, AI-assisted support tools, and related services.

We collect information in several categories.
When you create an account, list a property, make a booking, or communicate through the Platform, we may collect:
Account Information: Full legal name, email address, phone number, profile photo, account role (host, traveler, or both), username, and encrypted password.
Listing Information (Hosts): Property address, facility details, barn specifications, amenities, photos and videos, pricing information, house rules, and availability.
Booking Information (Travelers): Dates of stay, number of horses, trailer details, special requirements, and emergency contact information.
Communications: Messages between hosts and travelers, support inquiries, feedback and reviews, and safety reports.
Verification Information (If Enabled): Government-issued ID, business registration documents, insurance documentation, and tax information (e.g., W-9, 1099-related information).
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. RideJoy does not store full payment card numbers. We may collect billing address, transaction history, payout details (bank account information for hosts), and tax reporting data. Payment processors collect and store financial data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable regulations.
When you access the Platform, we may collect: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, log data, usage data, referring/exit pages, and session duration. We may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies.
We may collect approximate location via IP address, GPS location (if enabled by user permissions), and listing geolocation data. Location data helps provide search results and improve user experience.
If you interact with RideJoy’s AI-assisted chat or automated support features: Conversations may be recorded and stored. Data may be used to improve support tools. AI tools may process user inquiries to route or suggest help. We do not use AI interactions to make fully automated legal or financial decisions about users.

Depending on your location, we process personal data based on: performance of a contract, legitimate business interests, legal compliance, and user consent. Users may withdraw consent where applicable.

A. Between Hosts and Travelers: To facilitate bookings, we share necessary information such as first name, profile photo, listing details, booking details, and messages. Full contact information may be shared after booking confirmation.
B. Service Providers: We may share information with vendors providing cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, SMS services, identity verification, fraud detection, analytics, and customer support tools. These vendors are contractually obligated to safeguard data.
C. Legal & Regulatory Compliance: We may disclose information to comply with legal obligations, in response to lawful requests, to enforce agreements, to protect user safety, or to respond to emergencies.
D. Business Transfers: If RideJoy undergoes a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or investment restructuring, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We retain personal information as long as accounts remain active, as required for tax and regulatory compliance, to resolve disputes, and to enforce agreements. Inactive accounts may be deleted after a defined retention period.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption, secure servers, access controls, and payment processor compliance standards. However, no platform is completely secure. Users are responsible for safeguarding account credentials.

Users may opt out of marketing communications via email unsubscribe links, account settings, or direct request. Service-related communications cannot be opted out of.
RideJoy is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
If you access RideJoy outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. Data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers where permitted by law.
